itty bitty inspiration

One of my favorite rooms even if it is for a little one.  I like the impact of the one striped wall in a bold color, the artwork, the fun floral rug, the velvet green sofa with punchy-colored throw pillows and the traditional moldings and high ceiling. Would love to create something similar for my daughter, but she prefers Disney princess decor. What's a mom to do?

decisions, decisions

I've been on a mission to find some nude-ish heels or wedges for spring and summer, a pair that can easily go casual or even a little dressy. However, I'm a bit picky about heel height, so lots of towering heights eliminated quite a few pairs. But then I discovered these at the Gap. I can't decide which pair I like more. While I like the splash of red around the ankle, a part of me thinks the yellow strap at the toes would coordinate with more items in my wardrobe. What do yall think? Or do you have any other suggestions for my search?

Yay, so I've found a bit of time in my schedule to showcase another recent outfit. Yay! It's one of those great ensembles for spring, when it's getting a little warmer, but not warm enough.  This jacket has become a favorite of mine, as it adds a touch of casual to any outfit, though where I'm from I'm not sure the local town folk realize I'm doing this intentionally, like maybe they think I was forced to borrow my brother's jacket out of necessity.  Either or, I like it!

And this is my I'm-frustrated-with-the-West-Texas-wind look, but I think that's pretty self-explanatory.

I think I saw this image pinned a thousand times on Pinterest. And you can't blame 'em. These shorts are so cute with the girly scalloped edges. If you're looking to nab you a pair, I found a couple that might suit you well.

One of my favorite rooms saved in my inspiration files. What I like? The white sofa, the leopard ottoman, the chairs upholstered in what looks like a man's suit.  Oh, and the light-filled room doesn't hurt either.  Nor does the bouquet of fresh flowers.

Yes, I know the last outfit post included the same top, but stripes are so versatile, so here we go again.  I wore this to a little charity event one night (but clearly didn't take a picture of it then), so I decided to recreate it for an outfit post.  Sadly, I did not recreate the pony tail hairdo I had the same night. Some people likened me to Kim K. Ok, maybe not. Maybe I was the only one making the comparison.
